Where gay marriage is legal
The term LGBT is a term that is quite popular these days. It stands for Lesbian Gay, Bisexual and Transgenders and they have their own community all over the world that focuses on their own rights to be recognized as part of the society. One of these rights is gay marriage, which specifically applies to them on all aspects.
What is Gay marriage?
This is better known as a homosexual marriage. Whether it is man to man or girl to girl marriage, as long as it is not from the other sex it is automatically gay marriage. For centuries it has been taboo to do this, but in the last decade or so, gay people have come out openly with their contention that they should have their own equality. Due to strictness of religion and even social structures, they have not been openly admitted into society, but they are gaining ground slowly little by little each day and each year.
Countries where gay marriage is legal
Currently, there are about 13 known countries all over the world where gay marriage has been legalized. Here in the United States of America, gay marriage is accepted, but not in all states. There are still the conservative ones which refuses to recognize it, so better be sure when you want to have this kind of marriage that you are in the right place.
First let us look at the countries list for Gay Marriage legality and what year they actually started recognizing such:

If you will notice, USA is not on the list. It is recognized as only partial when it comes to the acceptance of gay marriage. Mexico is also included in the partial list. If you don’t see your country in this list, then either it is still under debate in your government, or they do not really allow this kind of thing to happen. If you happen to be interested in getting married, then better go to these locations to make sure everything is legal.
In the US, here are also the states listed where it is legal already to get gay marriage:
Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
There are still other states that have it on legislature already awaiting approval, but in the meantime, this is about the whole of the list where the Court has already ruled it okay for same sex marriage.
This is a movement that is really popular these days, and many people are getting more and more aware that it is really the way forward for many part of society. Times are really changing and if you will stick to the old ways, you might get left behind.
