  • The City of Romance – Paris will always be known for its sophistication and its love for the modern arts. There are plenty of places to explore here; from its magnificent museums to the bridges that are filled with “love locks” hanged on them to declare romantic ties among the people who were able to visit Paris. Of course, the Eiffel tower is something that you shouldn’t missed out on while you are here. Staring at it at night will make you feel how magnificent life is and why you should be sharing it with someone special. While Paris may be known for shopping and good food, you will still be able to enjoy your time here walking inside the city without really spending a lot of money. It is advisable however that you try to learn a little French so that you will be able to communicate yourself well when it comes to looking for directions and not have a hard time here in Paris, which is undoubtedly the most beautiful city in the world for a lot of people.
  • the Heart of the Rennaissance – Florence Italy, is the hometown of Michael Angelo. While it is popular for its Churches, and museums, the beauty of Florence is in the entirety of the city itself. Being in Florence is exactly like travelling back in time. The architecture in the city is well preserved and you can’t help but feel like a little kid again seeing Disneyland for the very first time. Everything about is old, which ironically appears to most people as something new and exciting. The best way to experience Florence is to simply walk around the city and get lost in that moment. In every corner, you will find something that is surprising and intriguing, like a street painter, or an opera singer performing a beautiful Italian song. Not to worry though, the center of Florence is the Duomo. You simply have to make that as your point of reference and you will never actually become lost. If you wish to view how beautiful the entire city is though, you will have to go to Michael Angelo’s Plaza. It is a hill top terrace that looks over the magnificent city of Florence and its river. Here you can take photos of the city that will look nicely in a postcard or probably your next screensaver. Florence is amazing at daytime and just plain enchanting at night. For those who have truly walked inside its walls they consider Florence as nothing short of the most beautiful city in the world.

life-863164_960_720Prague the City of a Thousand Spires – Prague got this label because of the many grand historical monuments in it that are beautifully preserved despite of them coming from the different ages in history. These monuments are best seen in one of the bridges that goes through the Vltava River. This city has a lot of beautiful alleyways to walk on that leads to cobbled streets which can certainly entice your senses. While arguably not the most beautiful city in the world, Prague is still in the top ten of that list.

The Magnificence of Rome – Rome definitely has a lot of history behind it. As such, there are plenty of things to see in Rome that you will not be able to experience in just one day. There is of course the Roman Collesium, the Trevi fountain, the Forum Romanum, the Pantheon, etc. If you are someone who likes to take pictures of these historical places then you should definitely tour the city of Rome for at least two or three days. Be warned though, while Rome is definitely a beautiful city, depending on what day of the week it is, it can be filled with a lot of people and getting the right shots of your favorite historical places might be a bit more challenging than you would expect. Nonetheless, Rome is deserving to be on the list of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is not exactly a small city though, so you might want to consider getting a tour guide for this trip.

Montepulciano and its mountain view – While this is a particularly small city, it is one of the best escapes you can have if you are planning for a romantic and scenic getaway. It is a city located in the heart of Tuscany on top of a mountain, overlooking wide fields of vineyards. The truth is you can easily traverse the entire city by walking for just a couple of hours depending on how slow your pace is. It is the best place to experience Italian food and enjoy rich wine while snacking on some pecorino. Nothing beats the sunset view in this city. If you remember the movie Twilight; that scene where Edward the main vampire of the story tried to reveal to the public what he really is; this is the setting for that movie. It’s a bit gothic and lovely at the same time. Montepulciano earns it place at the list of the most beautiful cities in the world, because of its endearing qualities even for such a small city.

life-864373__180The Gothic City called Bruges – While this city maybe a small one, it is huge in terms of being an eye candy to tourists. Even though it may not be the most beautiful city in the world, it is known for being the best well preserved medieval type of city. In here you will feel like you are one of the knights of old. With its gothic and baroque style architecture, you will reminisce about the stories you’ve read during the time where Kings and Queens ruled Europe. Bruges, is a romantic place to be in especially for those who do not want to surround themselves with the modern sophistication that Paris has to offer. While may not be as popular as the other cities in this list, Bruges is certainly one of the most visited cities in Europe and something that you should not skip if ever you are in Brussels. It is also worth noting that you can get to Bruges easily if you are already in central Europe.

Well, it is a difficult question what are the most beautiful cities in the world. We all perceive beauty in our own way, through our own glasses and from our own angle. Though, it was interesting to learn this information, I will definitely visit some of the places, if not all of them.

  • Maude  says:

I think there is no the definite answer what is the most beautiful city in the world. We are too different to have the same taste on anything.

  • Ettie  says:

We may agree or disagree, because it is a matter of our own taste. Besides, we can give our opinion only about what we have seen, and I am sure we have seen less than the world has to offer.

  • Annabel  says:

Of course there are places which are less liked and less visited by tourists. Though, I would avoid putting on tags with descriptive adjectives, because it is only the question of our perception. I am sure there are people who love these cities just because they have really good memories connected with those places, and thus each of us has our own list.
